This year’s Mobile World Congress Shanghai fell on June 27 - 29th 2018 with a focus on the fusion of mobile technology with daily life. The theme of the was Discover a Better Future, with most attention falling on the future of 5G and AI.
There is a clear shift towards using technology to automate tasks which holds implications far beyond the technology industry. Physical items and functions from our day-to-day lives are becoming automated... In real world terms this includes apps like Uber, AirBnb and IoT devices such as Nest, Amazon Echo, GoPro, FitBit. Mobile technology is an enabler.
As well as presentations from GSMA, China Mobile, China Telecom, AT&T, Ericsson and Huawei over the 3 day show, our very own Michael Tian, Sales Manager for EPS Global in China, was a speaker. He presented on the 'Accelerate your Growth with Irish Technology' stage, providing unique insights into the global Data Center landscape and Automotive Electronics industry.
More than 550 exhibitors showcased cutting-edge products & services and shared the big ideas that will influence the future of the industry. At our booth, the EPS Global China team held product demonstrations from open networking switches, intelligent power distribution units and optical transceivers through to test and measurement equipment for optical spectrum analysis.
