London, Jan 19, 2016 – Edgecore Networks, a leader in delivering open network solutions to cloud data center, telecommunications and enterprise customers, today announced it has signed a distribution agreement with EPS Global in EMEA.
Currently, EPS Global sells Edgecore’s network switching products into data centers and enterprise in the US along with optics and connectivity products, and this extended partnership agreement ensures the availability of Edgecore’s suite of products across Europe and Russia. EPS Global has 10 locations in EMEA alone, including a distribution hub in Dublin, Ireland, ensuring shorter lead times for their customers.
Edgecore offers a complete range of 1Gb, 10Gb, 40Gb, and 100Gb switches and supports the broadest set of commercial and open source software choices in the industry, providing customers with choice of switching and SDN architectures. Edgecore bare-metal switches support the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE) which enables the use of switch and SDN software from Big Switch Networks, Cumulus Linux, Pica8, the OpenSwitch open source NOS, and the Open Network Foundation Atrium SDN distribution.
Edgecore count Facebook and other hyperscale cloud operators as customers, providing them with ToR and spine switches to meet their demanding performance, scale and reliability requirements.
