Dublin, Ireland – January 28th, 2019 -- EPS Global has today announced the appointment of Colin Lynch to the position of Chief Executive Officer effective 1st January 2019, succeeding Mick Mc Carthy who will take up the position of Chief Operating Officer.
EPS Global's Board issued the following statement: “We are delighted to appoint Colin Lynch as CEO of EPS Global, as part of our long-term succession plan. Colin brings deep experience and a proven track record of strategy development and executing on new opportunities during his tenure as Director of Business Development for EPS. We trust that he will deliver compelling insight and leadership to take EPS Global through its next phase of development".
Colin Lynch has over 20 years’ experience in the semiconductor and distribution industries, most recently serving as Business Development Director in EPS Global where he drove part of the company’s growth strategy over the past 5 years. Prior to that, he held roles as Managing Director at NETS and Program Manager at NCR. Colin holds an BA, BAI in Electronic Engineering from Trinity College and an MBA from UCD’s Smurfit Business School.
On being appointed, Colin commented, "Mick has overseen a period of hugely significant change in EPS's history, leading its global expansion, and driving growth and profitability. Our trading division has seen growth, particularly in the Data Center and Open Networking space, and this is forecast to continue. Our Semiconductor business grew significantly in 2018 and is also looking at high growth over the next 3 years predominantly in the autonomous car space. I am looking forward to continuing these successes whilst simultaneously ensuring we remain focused on delivering the very best quality service and products to our customers.”
Colin succeeds Mick Mc Carthy, who co-founded EPS Global and has been serving as Chief Executive Officer for nearly two decades.
