Berlin, July 25, 2024 – FaradaIC, an emerging leader in developing and manufacturing electrochemical gas sensors based on the new MECS-Technology®, today announced a new global distribution agreement with EPS Global. EPS Global is a world leader in the value-added distribution of semiconductor and IT components. The new product line of microelectrochemical gas sensors complements EPS Global’s product portfolio in gas analysis and offers enormous growth potential in new markets and applications.
The design and specification of FaradaIC's gas sensors and the high miniaturization potential enable smaller, more powerful and efficient gas measurement systems for a wide range of new applications. The low energy consumption and small size also allow it to be used in portable, battery-powered and mobile applications. The sensors are particularly useful in a food production setting. These tiny sensors can monitor oxygen concentration, which in addition to temperature and humidity sensors, gives way to significant improvements in food production and logistics.
FaradaIC offer an evaluation and development kit, which contains two Faraday-Ox® sensors and the complete control electronics. The 2 x 2 x 1cm small development system for oxygen measurement based on MECS-technology® (Technology for micro electrochemical systems) provides all measurement data for oxygen, relative humidity and temperature directly via the built-in USB interface. With the free web app, the evaluation kit supports the development of packaging and logistics concepts.
FaradaIC also offers a new mini-module based on MECS-technology® (technology for micro electrochemical systems) for Breath Monitoring, which offers everything you need to easily monitor respiratory rate, rhythm, regularity and quality. The tiny design provides fast results, allowing multiple breaths per minute to be monitored. The module contains a USB-C connection and the included software displays the parameters graphically. The solid electrolyte remains stable even when stored for long periods of time and does not dry out even at high temperatures of up to 85°C.
"With EPS Global, we have a strong sales partner at our side, who reaches customers all over the world with technical know-how and individual logistics solutions," says Dr. Ryan Guterman, founder and managing director of FaradaIC. "We are looking forward to exciting projects."
"We are pleased to announce our global partnership with FaradaIC," says Colin Lynch, CEO of EPS Global. "We see a lot of interest from our gas sensor customers in FaradaIC's new gas sensor technology, as they are simply better in all areas compared to alternatives.".
