What's New?
Volta Networks has announced its full support for the Disaggregated Cell Site Gateway (DCSG), an open approach to build out 5G transport networks. The requirements were created by the Telecom Infra Project's (TIP) Open Optical & Packet Transport (OOPT) project group and has gained significant traction in the telecommunications and networking industries.

SONiC (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud) is an open source network operating system based on Linux which runs on Edgecore's Open Networking switches. Edgecore offers Support Services, available in 3 or 5 year subscriptions, to provide customers with the highest level of confidence when deploying SONiC into their data centers with "White Glove Service" support for customers using SONiC on Edgecore platforms.

Our resident techie Barry does a quick demo of Edgecore's Cassini Open Packet Transponder, which enables network operators to easily extend and migrate existing metro and long-haul Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) networks to add new 100G capacities and extend inter-datacenter and Layer 3 services.
