By bringing together a disaggregated solution from our open networking partners IP Infusion, Edgecore, ufiSpace, II-VI and Amphenol, we helped VTS provide 200Gb/s bandwidth and reach out to remote areas of the country.

As a result VTS were able to deliver new services and revenue streams, all while lowering their total cost of ownership.

Dynamic Connectivity Platform (DCP)

Flexible Open Line Systems

With an open architecture the functionality of once monolithic optical transport systems can be disaggregated, using embedded transceivers, open line systems and SDN control, resulting in a much better price/performance. Smartoptics has therefore developed the Dynamic Connectivity Platform (DCP) for active open line systems of all types, may they be simple point-to-point links or advanced, ROADM-based, ring and mesh networks. To fit all the varying needs of an open line system, the DCP platform comes in three flavors – the DCP-M, the DCP-R and the DCP-F families – each optimized for a particular type of optical network

• The DCP-M Family for zero touch provisioning of point-to-point links with multiple traffic formats at speeds up to 400G, focusing on the lowest cost per transported bit. The DCP-M products have a fixed form factor chassis and each model is designed for a particular use case.

Industry’s first full-featured network OS for White Box

OcNOS provides a rich feature density and robustness that has been built up over the years and validated in thousands of diverse customer networks. OcNOS provides industry standard CLI, supports all standard MIBs and other standard operation and management tools. Its integrated centralized management and provisioning layer allows for transaction-based configuration and device feature modelling. The management layer has support for Netconf, REST APIs besides custom CLI generation capability. This allows an OcNOS system to be configured, managed and controlled by Network Management System for scaled topologies and in multiple ways.
