What is SONiC Lite?

SONiC Lite is an end-to-end, sustainable, and scalable solution based on Community SONiC for cost-effective platforms in data center, edge, and campus deployments. It is a lightweight distribution designed to run on cost-efficient management and access switches with limited CPU performance, RAM, and storage capacity. SONiC Lite contains all the essential features of Community SONiC, including L2 switching, L3 routing, and security, as well as several additional critical features, such as xSTP, OLS, and PoE++.
