TuffDrive® USB long and short 2.0 and 3.0 USB keys are ideal solutions for networking, embedded and industrial applications that require a modest amount of storage and utilize Altera, Cavium, Freescale, Renesas, Xilinx or other chipsets that may not have an integrated SATA interface. Even if a host system does have integrated SATA, many engineers find embedded USB modules beneficial for storing system configuration information and for providing a backup repository for data in DRAM in the event of a system-level power-down.
