The MTOF series are tunable optical filters that can be used in various applications to improve the reach of optical transmission systems or for signal monitoring applications. The Mini MTOF is a wideband tunable filter that is ideal for filtering out amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) noise in post-amplified transmitters or pre-amplified receivers. The Mini MTOF incorporates a variable optical attenuator (VOA) function that allows systems designers to improve their receiver dynamic range. The Mini MTOF is uniquely compact and very low cost, which makes it ideal for integration in small transceiver form-factors for 100 Gb/s applications and above.
