The PAH8011ET-IP is a low power CMOS-process optical heart rate monitor chip with integrated DSP that is packaged together with three chip-on-board LEDs: two Green and one Infrared into a single package supporting Heart Rate Detection (HRD) function. It is based on optical sensing technology that captures higher resolution image than the traditional photodiode. The images are then processed through the integrated DSP to attain processed PPG (Photoplethysmogram) data for use in deducing heart rate.
