The PAW3021J1 is an automotive-grade optical finger navigation sensor created by Pixart. It is compliant with AEC-Q100 Grade 3 and operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. This highly integrated sensor module supports 2/4/8-direction detection and free navigation sensing, with a tracking speed of up to 24 inches per second. The programmable resolution ranges from 200cpi to 2000cpi. Technical specifications include an 8-DIP package type, operating voltage of 2.1-3.6V, run current of 0.38mA, and a self-adjusting frame rate. The sensor uses a red LED light source and interfaces via 3-wire SPI.
