The PAT9156E1 is a low-power optical tracking chip using PixArt's LASER-based optical navigation technology. The PAT9156E1 is housed in a miniature LGA package with an integrated LASER light source to increase design flexibility in space constraint applications. The PAT9156E1 supports a wide depth of field (DOF) over glossy surfaces and does not require a code-wheel, code strip, or any special marking on the tracking surface. The PAT9156E1 is suitable for hermetic or enclosed mechanical systems. LASER power calibration is not required as it is calibrated in- house during PixArt's manufacturing process. As such, the PAT9156E1 offers ease of design-in and reliable high-volume device manufacturing.
