The PAT9406E1-CVBB is a low-power optical tracking miniature chip using PixArt’s LASER-based optical navigation technology. The chip integrates an optical chip and a LASER light source in a single miniature package. It provides a wide depth of field (DOF) range on glossy surfaces and design flexibility in a compact device.

The tracking system does not require a code wheel, code strip, or any special marking on the tracking surface for motion control or tracking purposes. It is suitable for hermetic or enclosed mechanical system applications.

A LASER power calibration process is NOT required, which was calibrated in the PixArt manufacturing process. This chip simplifies the processes and increases the reliability in high-volume device manufacturing.
