The DCP-F-R22 is part of the DCP-F series, designed to offer the utmost in configuration adaptability. The active units are individual modules that can be plugged directly into the standard Smartoptics DCP-2 chassis, with each module taking up one slot. Additionally, the module features an integrated expansion field for optional passive plug-in modules (PPM), which can be utilized for dispersion compensation, for instance.

The compact size of the DCP-2 chassis, coupled with the pluggable configuration, provides exceptional flexibility across a range of applications and network topologies. By integrating one or more DCP-F units, they can be adapted for various point-to-point applications, 2-degree ROADM applications, and active/passive ring applications.
