The FTLC9555NEPM 100G QSFP28 transceiver modules are engineered for application in 100 Gigabit Ethernet connections over multimode fiber. These modules adhere to the QSFP28 MSA standards. They are designed to function (a) independently without the need for forward error correction (FEC) from the host, (b) with a reduced Firecode 74 FEC as per IEEE 802.3by 25GBASE-SR and Clause 74, or (c) with a complete RS FEC as per IEEE 802.3bm 100GBASE-SR4, Clause 91, and CAUI-4. Digital diagnostic functions can be accessed through the I2C interface, in accordance with the QSFP28 MSA and Application Note AN-2141.
