VBNG (VIRTUAL BROADBAND NETWORK GATEWAY)
netElastic Virtual BNG (vBNG) is designed to deliver unmatched performance and scalability on white box servers. netElastic’s highly optimized data plane and patented packet processing techniques maximize hardware performance, and decoupling of the control plane and data plane allows for flexible capacity expansion without restrictions from either plane.
Whether service providers are deploying a new rural network or upgrading a large-scale metro POP, vBNG provides the deployment flexibility to deliver new services faster. vBNG can be deployed for very small subscriber bases up to millions of subscribers.
netElastic BNG Manager is a user-friendly, web-based management program for vBNG, which makes it easy and intuitive for network administrators and operations staff to quickly configure their BNGs and monitor how the network and vBNGs are performing. BNG Manager monitors all interfaces, routes, peak and active subscribers, and overall system health. In addition to the web-based BNG Manager, netElastic vBNG supports management, configuration and monitoring through CLI, NETCONF APIs, and SNMP. vBNG also supports RADIUS and RADIUS COA for authentication, authorization, and accounting.
netElastic vBNG supports a wide range of protocols, including common BNG access features. Supported access methods include PPPoE, IPoE, and L2TP. Subscriber bandwidth controls are enforced based on local policy or from RADIUS specified rate plans and policies. Double and triple-tagged VLANs, IP address management, DHCP, and IPv4+IPv6 dual-stack are all available.
