The Apposite 10G2 Network WAN Emulator is the perfect solution for testing and validating high-speed networks. With four SFP+ Ethernet ports and a maximum aggregate throughput of 40 Gbps, this emulator is designed to meet the needs of the most demanding applications. It features two 10 Gbps emulation engines, a maximum packet rate of 59.5 million pps, and a maximum frame size of 9 KB. Packet classification is supported for IP source and destination address range (IPv4 or IPv6), VLAN, TCP or UDP port number, IP ToS, MAC address, MPLS label, or any other packet contents. Bandwidth can be adjusted from 100 bps to 100 Gbps in 1 bps increments, depending on the model. Delay can be set from 0 ms to 10,000 ms or greater in each direction in 0.01 ms increments, with options for constant, uniform, or normal distributions. Loss and corruption can be set to random, burst, periodic, BER, Gilbert-Elliott, or recorded loss, as well as data corruption and network outage. Background utilization can be set from 0 to 100% in increments of 0.1%, and PCAP replay is supported. Queuing and prioritization are supported with RED or tail drop queue management, as well as priority or round robin queuing.

  • Feature 6 Loss & Corruption: Set random, burst, or periodic packet loss. Test the effects of corruption on voice and video applications.
  • Feature 7 Capture & Replay: Record the delay and loss characteristics of a production network as they vary second-by-second and replay them through the Netropy network emulator.
  • Feature 8 Traffic Monitor: View and download up to 24 hours of throughput graphs and link statistics.
  • Feature 9 Automated Testing: Automate application performance testing with Apposite's comprehensive command line interface (CLI).
