Thermal infrared emitter with gold plated reflector Package: TO-39/TO-5 with integrated reflector TO39-Cap without window Emitter area 11 mm²HISbasic series emitters have an integrated gold plated reflector that directs the radiation emitted from the rear to the front in order to achieve maximum efficiency. All our emitters offer minimum drift at constant resistance (Ohm). Infrasolids IR emitters are characterized by a very low temperature coefficient of electrical resistance. Therefore the hot resistance and the cold resistance are almost identical which eases the electrical control of the IR sources.

These pulsable thermal infrared sources feature a very high radiant power in the entire infrared spectral range due to the large emitter area and the high and broadband emissivity. The radiation element is coated on both sides with the nanostructured emission layer. An integrated reflector directs the backside emitted radiation to the front through the housing window. Thus, a maximum optical output power and a maximum efficiency can be achieved. Infrasolid’s hermetic housing technology enables soldered sapphire, CaF2 and BaF2 windows for use in harsh environments and a wide temperature range of -25 °C up to +85 °C.
