The DCP-F-A22 is a part of the DCP-F series, designed to offer the highest level of configuration flexibility. The active units are individual modules that can be directly plugged into the standard Smartoptics DCP-2 chassis, with each module taking up one slot. Additionally, the module features an integrated expansion field for optional passive plug-in modules (PPM), which can be used for dispersion compensation, for instance.

The compact design of the DCP-2 chassis, coupled with the pluggable configuration, provides exceptional flexibility across a range of applications and network topologies. By integrating one or more DCP-F units, they can be utilized for a variety of point-to-point applications, 2-degree ROADM applications, and active/passive ring applications.
