The DCP-F-DE22 is a part of the DCP-F series, designed to offer maximum adaptability with its active units. These units are individual modules that can be directly plugged into the standard Smartoptics DCP-2 chassis, with each module taking up one slot. The module also features an integrated expansion field for optional passive plug-in modules (PPM), which can be utilized for dispersion compensation, for instance.

The compact size of the DCP-2 chassis, coupled with the pluggable configuration, provides exceptional flexibility across various applications and all network topologies. By amalgamating one or more DCP-F units, they can be employed for diverse types of point-to-point applications, 2-degree ROADM applications, and active/passive ring applications.
