The DCP-1610 is a high-density multilane transponder module designed for the DCP-2 1U chassis system. Each unit of the DCP-1610 houses ten individual transponders that operate from 1G to 16G line rates, facilitating 20 x DWDM channels for every 1U (or 40 x DWDM channels for every 2U), catering to high-capacity requirements. The module can transport 40G interfaces via 4x10G wavelength groups, with both CWDM and DWDM traffic supported.
Perfectly suited for new xWDM transmission installations or as a component of any contemporary disaggregated DWDM deployment strategy (such as any Open Source Hardware initiatives), the DCP-1610 can be utilized with any mux/demux platform that complies with ITU DWDM standard G.694.1 or CWDM standard G.694.2. The module offers G.709 FEC on all interfaces for 8G/10G/40G protocols, extending the transmission distance in amplified systems.
The DCP-1610 also supports encryption of 8G/10G/16G/40G traffic using advanced encryption techniques that comply with FIPS 140-2 Suite B. For 8G/10G/40G traffic, this encryption can be paired with GFEC G.709 for long-distance transport. Out of the ten ports, six can be utilized for encryption.
