The ASXvOLT16 is a virtual Optical Line Terminal (vOLT) featuring 16-10G-port XGS-PON with 4 fixed ports of 100G/40G QSFP28. The front panel houses the 10G ports, 100G uplink ports, and console/management USB ports. The 10G ports function at wire-speed by default and are compatible with standard XGS-PON transceivers.
The QSFP28 ports are capable of operating in 100G and 40G modes, and can be configured to 4 x 25GbE or 4 x10 GbE modes using DAC breakout cables. This vOLT is designed with redundant hot-swappable PSUs and fans, and can be configured with either a front-to-back or back-to-front airflow direction.
This open network switch comes pre-loaded with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), which facilitates the installation of a compatible Network Operating System (NOS) software. This includes both open source and commercial NOS offerings. Video
