The Edgecore DCS501 switch, designed for high-performance data centers, functions as a Top-of-Rack (TOR) or spine switch. This compact 1RU form factor switch offers line-rate L2 and L3 switching across its 32 x QSFP28 ports. It supports up to 32 x 40/100 GbE, 64 x 50 GbE, or 128 x 10/25 GbE connections.

The DCS501 can be utilized as a TOR switch, supporting 10/25/50 GbE to servers with 40/50/100 GbE uplinks. Alternatively, it can be deployed as a spine switch, supporting 40/50/100 GbE spine interconnects. This versatile open network switch comes with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE).

ONIE enables the installation of compatible Network Operating System software. This includes both open source options and commercial NOS offerings, providing flexibility and adaptability to your network infrastructure.
