The Regen TAP 1x5 provides network engineers with the ability to transmit up to five duplex copies of network traffic from a single 1G or 10G Fiber link. This single-purpose TAP is straightforward to set up, requiring no configuration. Upon connecting the Regen TAP 1x5 to the IT network, copies of packets begin to flow instantly.
It operates in Breakout mode, sending each side of the copied traffic to separate monitoring ports. This mode ensures that no packet is lost in situations of heavy, high utilization traffic. It is particularly suitable for IT networks that have multiple out of band performance monitoring tools installed, eliminating the need for a network packet broker.
The Regen TAP 1x5 is also designed to support future growth in IT networks, as traffic increases and the demand for additional out of band tools rises.
