The UK Government has set ambitious targets to have gigabit capable broadband coverage to 85% of the country by 2025. In the US, the FCC has pledged $60bn in grants to help bring broadband to rural areas and to rip and replace unsecure equipment. In Germany, the federal Government has committed €12bn for broadband funding through its “grey spots” program.
