The H-MD-C08-LL is an 8ch CWDM Mux/DeMux with low-loss properties, operating within the lower CWDM channel range of 1271 to 1451nm. It omits the 1391 and 1411nm channels due to their susceptibility to high water-peak attenuation, which is often found in older fiber types.

This device can function independently or in conjunction with other high CWDM-band filters such as the H-MD-C09H-E-LL, H-MD-C09, or H-MD-C05. The H-MD-C08L-LL shares the same channel coverage as the H-MD-C08, but it features a unique filter design that ensures reduced losses.

The H-MD-C08L-LL is an optimal choice for networks that experience higher losses, extended distances, or have cascaded filters. However, for networks where the losses are within acceptable limits, the H-MD-C08 serves as a more cost-effective alternative.
